A number of our children have been on overseas missions trips: Russia, El Salvador, Mexico, the Philippines and Peru. But all have been with denominations which feel they need "church buildings" and some sort of clergy. I am wondering if there are any opportunities with house churches to see what God is doing in other countries through believers who meet in house churches?

Would appreciate any such info or contacts with folks involved with such opportunities.

Well Bruce, for over 20 years, I have always sought to take young people with me as I travel. I have often thought about aranging specific short term mission trips as well. I am appaulled at the cost of some short term mission trips. Last year a major ministry conducted an 8 day mission trip to the area of Spain where I have ministered for 13 years. the cost was over $3000. I costed the same trip, staying in 3* instead of 5* hotels and using self drive cars instead of coaches and the cost was just over $1000 for 2 weeks. The people on the "ministries" visit, only met Christians from one stream, and had no hands on ministry opportunities. I don't like much of what's on offer there. I will consider requests from any young, or indeed older person who wishes to travel with me as I minister among the churches, both here in Europe and in America. the only cost, is the cost, nothing else is added. I always stay in budget accommodation or with the saints. I normally travel by the cheapest methods too. We have to be good stewards. In the year ahead I am planning major trips to Germany, Spain and the US.
Blessings,
Keith
