The Starfish and the Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations by Ori Brafman, Rod Beckstrom
quote:From Publishers Weekly: Brafman and Beckstrom, a pair of Stanford M.B.A.s who have applied their business know-how to promoting peace and economic development through decentralized networking, offer a breezy and entertaining look at how decentralization is changing many organizations. The title metaphor conveys the core concept: though a starfish and a spider have similar shapes, their internal structure is dramatically different—a decapitated spider inevitably dies, while a starfish can regenerate itself from a single amputated leg. In the same way, decentralized organizations, like the Internet, the Apache Indian tribe and Alcoholics Anonymous, are made up of many smaller units capable of operating, growing and multiplying independently of each other, making it very difficult for a rival force to control or defeat them.
Those of you interested in the business world, such as our Canadian correspondent Benoit, may find the implications of this book for the church's mission to be vast.
When it comes to the current illusion of the decentralising movement of networking, it is all subjected to and contained within the business pyramid by which Satan has been and is moving on toward his fianl moves of deceit, as if he was not there pulling the strings of darkness. "You shall be like God" he forcasted in Eden; and so does history unfolds in the hiding of his lying, stealing and destroying of the human race.
Interestingly, I heard the same to be said regarding empires, when it comes to "making it very difficult for a rival force to control or defeat them". Ever since Babylon, the pyramid structure has been perfected and adopted by all following empires, throughout history, because, so it is said, it cannot be destroyed from the outside, only from the inside. When it comes to the Kingdom of our Lord, we all know Who and where the center and the source is. When it comes to business and christianity, the Jesuites had started one of all time's most successful business, calling it simply: "The Company of Jesus". Much of the legal aspect of the business world has grown from the evolution over several centuries of the Company of Jesus. When it comes to both, the legal and the business aspect of the Church in this world which is allien to our home, it all boils down to our taking up and on, the Acts 2-7 position and we then stand on that ground in obediance to the Spirit against the flesh and the world and in resistance to Satan, moving on in this world against the gates of hades. Such is the Church's legal ground and business activation in all the simplicity of God's glory feeding our individual being and communal unity with the grace and truth of our central power of love and holiness...thank You dear Lord for being with us to the end of the earth. Show me how to honor You as You deserve to be, free from my dishonoring tendencies, habits and outright sins...amen to Your Yes in us all...

Hey brother, I haven't read this book yet but intend to order it. Then I might be able to have an intelligent conversation about it.
On another but related matter, I see Al-Qaeda as having empowered ALL its sympathizers to do evil against non-Arabs. They don't have to check with headquarters or some committee, first.
