Yep, many churches are tripping over themselves to see who can be the most trendy.
At the church building where our Boy Scouts meet, I've noticed that each of the Sunday School classes have a DVD player and a pile of secular videos next to it.

It appears the new way to spread the "new" gospel is to invite the neighbors over to watch "The Passion". Never mind that it is full of RC doctrine and the actual gospel is never presented. Never mind we aren't to make idols of God. Heard some people were actually bowing to the actor that portrayed Christ, thinking he was!
Another way to push the "new" gospel is to watch the NIV on video. It doesn't matter that this version calls Lucifer by one of Christ's names, the Morning Star.
Seems we have a generation of ADD folks who can't be still long enough to actually read or hear the word of God; but must constantly be entertained.

What happened to quiet communion with our God?
