Last Sunday we really enjoyed some praise songs and hymns which were addressed directly to HIM. Such as:
------------------------
I Exalt Thee by Pete Sanchez Jr.
For Thou, O Lord, art high above all the earth Thou art exalted far above all gods For Thou, O Lord, art high above all the earth Thou art exalted far above all gods
I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee I exalt Thee, O Lord I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee I exalt Thee, O Lord.

We sing these acappella. It's such an encouraging thing to sing these words in harmony with my brothers and sisters. It helps keep me on track to serve the Lord and not myself throughout the week. There are many many more I haven't written here. Most are American traditional. When not singing with the brethren there are many more songs I like and sing as I go about the day, some English hymns and some like Bless the Lord My Soul sung in more of a middle eastern scale.
Victory in Jesus! My Savior forever. He sought me and he bought me with his redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew him. And all my love is due him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood!
Faith of our fathers, living still, in spite of dungeon, fire and sword. O how our hearts beat high with joy, whenever we hear that glorious Word. Faith of our fathers, holy faith! We will be true to thee 'til death.
Oh there's only one way to that city so bright, 'tis the old path that Jesus hath trod. Will you leave sin today, come and walk this ole way, for it leads to that city of God.
Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.
Will there be any stars any stars in my crown when that evening sun goeth down? When I wake with the blessed in those mansions of rest will there be any stars in my crown?
Careless soul, why will you linger, wand'ring from the throne of God? Hear ye not the invitation, O prepare to meet thy God! Careless soul, O heed the warning, for your life will soon be gone! O how sad, to face the judgment, unprepared to meet thy God!
We will rest in the fair and happy land by and by, just across on the evergreen shore, sing the song of Moses and the Lamb by and by, and dwell with Jesus evermore.
Guide me O thou great Jehovah!
Zion's call is ringing, coming from the throne of God. While we hear it ringing, let us heed the call of love.
Happy day, happy day, when Jesus washed my sins away!
Send the light, the blessed gospel light, let it shine from shore to shore! Send the light, the blessed gospel light, let it shine forevermore.
Cheer up my brother, live in the sunlight, we'll understand it, O by and by.
Troublesome times are here, filling mens' hearts with fear, freedom we all hold dear, now is at stake. Humbling ourselves to God saves from the chastening rod, seek the way pilgrims trod, Christians awake. Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon, many will meet their doom, trumpets will sound. All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the skies, going where no one dies, heavenward bound.
Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight, flooding my soul with glory above! Hallelujah! I am rejoicing, singing his praises, Jesus is mine.
Sing to me of Heaven when the evening falls, sing to me of Heaven sing the sweetest song of all.
