We must not fret ourselves because of evil-doers. Psalms 37:1. Still, we occasionally notice certain milestones on the highway to destruction which make us sit up and wonder. From earlier this week:

King Middle School will become the first middle school in Maine to make a full range of contraception available, including birth control pills and patches. Condoms have been available at King's health center since 2000.
Students need parental permission to access the school's health center. But treatment is confidential under state law, which allows the students to decide whether to inform their parents about the services they receive.
There are no national figures on how many middle schools provide such services. Most middle schoolers range in age from 11 to 13.

This is heartbreaking, D. One editorial noted that if an 11-year-old is looking for contraceptives, the parents, police and child protective services should be called. Hello?
It is outrageous how far the "slippery slope" has brought us. I sincerely hope that any believers who still put their kids in government schools will consider this and the MRSA epidemic to be a serious wake-up call!
So... our boys will die of staph and our girls will be raped in the science lab, but "I don't have the patience to teach my own kids..." Oh, God, open our eyes!
