UK Government to Provide Abortion Nurses in all Primary and Secondary Schools Nurses will secretly refer for abortions, provide contraceptives and morning after pill By Terry Vanderheyden
LONDON, March 25, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new UK policy will see nurses dispensing contraceptives to schoolchildren and referring girls for secret abortions in all schools – primary and secondary – across the nation.
The joint Department of Education and the Department of Health initiative will facilitate abortion referrals without a parent’s knowledge, as well as give schoolgirls instant access to the abortifacient morning-after pill, among other things.
The nurses are also trained to facilitate a student’s decision to follow a homosexual lifestyle, according to a Daily Mail report. The program mandates that the nurses “provide and promote confidential drop-ins” for the children to discuss sex issues. A booklet issued from the Departments is forthright about its goals: nurses are to “Ensure the school policy on confidentiality is clear...”
Teen pregnancies in the UK continue to skyrocket, despite a £40million government drive to educate kids in sex-ed. The incidence of sexually transmitted disease has risen so dramatically that everyone is now referring to the issue as an epidemic.
I did see this and meant to post but had to wait the 600 seconds and was working elsewhere and forgot to get back.
Ironically, in the US, the schools can pass out birth control and help girls get abortions; but have to have parental consent to give out an asprin. Common sense has flown the coop in every area it seems.

This is terrible news yet it may just be one way the government is attempting to deal with the noticeable decline in morality.
Morality begins in the home and is first the responsibility of the parent to train a child in the way s/he is to go so that when they grow up they will not depart from the way.
Hey Faith,
This may be a good example of the point Chubbena was attempting to make on the other thread. We are to strive to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. Where do Christians draw the line on the types of news they watch and/or read? Does the Holy Spirit have any guidance for us?
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
We are aware of the evil in the land yet we need not dwell on it. We should dismiss it from our minds and focus instead on things that are praise-worthy.
So how do Christians avoid being labeled complacent through apparent apathy? How would one combat this and remain faithful to Phil 4:8? How could we turn this into something true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praise-worthy?

How does this combat immorality? Governments are promoting abortions, free love, and homosexuality. This is not combating immorality; but condoning it. Very few schools teach abstinence which would certainly improve morality.
You are right it is the parents duty to teach morality in the home; but it is harder and harder today. The youth get the OK on immorality from so many sources, school, books, internet, magazines, tv, radio, music. It is nearly impossible to police all these sources. Even if none of these things are allowed into the home, there is the home of friends and school and especially disturbing is what is allowed at some church groups!
Philipians 4 gives us good advice. Notice we are to think on things that are true. Not all things that are true are good or moral. It is true that government is undermining our youth. We must know Satan’s tactics in order to battle him. Thus, we don’t always think on nice things but how to over come evil.
I also notice that we are to spend more time thinking on good things since more good is mentioned. (honest, just, pure, lovely, good report, virtue, praise.)
Though truth can be good or bad, we can’t just ignore the bad all the time. However, to dwell on the news everytime it’s on is depressing. I would have a balance. I don’t think watching the news is spotting us. When we are told to be unspotted, it means we don’t do the immoral things the world does. Rather we expose them.

For girls seeking abortions, start a home for unwed mothers. Helping these troubled girls sort things out would be something good.
BTW, when my child was young and in public school, he was taught, by the government, that parents could never spank. So I let him watch a movie about a child who was abused by his parents to show him the difference in abuse and occasional corporal punishment. I used something with a terrible subject matter for good….something I normally would not have watch. We are to be innocent but not ignorant of wrong doing.
