Dear and gentle reader,

Scripture DOES NOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN HEART AND HEAD in such a manner as most Christians assume. In fact, the thinking process is attributed TO the heart over and over again.

Luke 9:47 And Jesus, perceiving the THOUGHT OF THEIR HEART, took a child, and set him by him,

Acts 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the THOUGHT OF THINE HEART may be forgiven thee.

Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

2 Cor. 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Prov. 23:7 For as he THINKETH IN HIS HEART, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Unfortunately, Scripture DOES NOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN HEART AND HEAD in such a manner as your propose, Diane. In fact the thinking process is attributed TO the heart over and over again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~I think that scripture is actually agreeing with my overall premise. The heart and the mind have always worked together - both physically and Spiritually. But by attibuting all credit to the male in the Godhead, the Christian church fails to recognize who/what the heart is - the tree of life. The heart projects life into the mind, and the mind does the creating. The female gives life, while the male does the imagining - then the female (wisdom) works alongside of him as the 'craftsman by his side' (Prov 8:30). 'She is a tree of life to those that embrace her' (Prov 3:18). The heart and the mind work interchangeably as partners - but the heart has not been given her own name until lately.
