All I can say is "Whoa!!" I need time to process it all!!

On a business sales trip to Mesquite, TX this week, Jayne and I took
advantage of the moment last Sunday to experience a meeting at Little Zion
in the East Texas woods. Hoo boy what a meeting! Saints fellershipping
included Charlie Lafferty and John DePue (they live there) as well as Kyle
and Carol Yoakum and their children, a wonderful dear brother named Don and
none other than Bob and Gail Denton from, uh......, well, they happened to
be in the area in their RV. (it's gotta be nice) )

Whoa!! We just wallered in the Lord for hours! What a great time.
Thanks, Charlie, for changing your schedule to make time to meet us. Your
love for the saints is obvious and it was fun watching as you answered
those technical questions. )

And John...... what can I say? We just saw Jesus oozing from you with a
thankfulness that helps us to really appreciate the cleansing POWER of
Jesus' blood! your enthusiasm is infectious. Praise God!! Oh yeah, I'm
trying to figure out how to use my BBQ to smoke brisket!

Kyle and Carol, your warm welcome not only smoothed out the miles, but made
us feel like we were home! Y'all provide an atmosphere that allows
visitors to just open up and enter in to glorious fellowship in the Lord!

Bob and Gail, it was so good to see you again. Saints, if you ever get the
chance to have Bob and Gail stop in..... hey, just ask for their salvation
testimony. You're in for a treat! We can't wait for your next swing
through the West Coast.

And that wasn't all! They invited us to another meeting on Wed. nite at a
dear couples' home (Thurman and Diana) in Mesquite, TX. Man, the house was
full of saints that were in turn, full of Jesus!! I'm thinking of George
and his wife, Wesley, Phil, Myron and Pat along with Kyle & Carol Yoakum
and John DePue (please forgive me, I may have forgotten a few).

The depth of Jesus and focus on Him was just overwhelming! Hey guys,
remember Westley picking up his little daughter and demonstrating how God
wants to dance with us? It's not just us getting to step in time ON His
feet; it's Him carrying us! It couldn't be easier!! YaHoo!!

Like the meeting on Sunday, I'm still processing all the data I received.
A large part of this process for me is to keep it as a treasure in my
heart and just feed on it (Jesus, who was the center of every conversation)
for as long as it lasts!

You know saints. I've been saved for 20 years now and it's the last 2 1/2
years of relational christianity, (i.e.: HC) that has been growing in our
hearts and we just can't get enough!! ) Like I said before, sometimes I
feel like I'm going to explode! Yet I'm drawn to it like a moth to the
flame! ("It" being sharing and receiving Christ in us).

Thanks everyone for making us feel so "at home". We've found Texans do
that. The gathering there on Labor Day will be worth twice the cost of the
trip if it is half the experience!

God bless you all!

"The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now
disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the
gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is CHRIST IN YOU, the
hope of glory." Col. 1:26&27

Jim Bennett,

All I can say after reading your story about the love, joy and fellowship you experienced with the saints in Texas is--I am homesick beyond words! The pure, sparkling water of His presence refreshes and literally gushes through our thirsty spirits, and it's marvelous that you all were so blessed by Jesus as you gathered last summer.

I have not-so-distant memories of some incredible, eyes-wide-open moments with the brothers and sisters as we basked in His presence, and these "glory glimpses" have helped me through the wilderness and times of wondering if I will ever see His Glory manifested through the gathering again here on earth. I will even at times dream at night I am enjoying worship and fellowship around the throne with beloved brothers and sisters, and then wake up to reality--and I immediately try to go back to sleep again just to be with the saints! A little crazy I must admit but the reality is is that this worship of Jesus is going on continually before His throne, whether we see and experience it--or not!

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful time with the Body of Christ. It was like a cold cup of water after a very long, dry and dusty journey. Blessings.

sue
