I wanted to talk about a few things that are a great concern to me about the home church movement. So I thought I would express it this way.

1)First myth, we can not say anything against the ICs. I don't see anything wrong with saying anything against what is happening in the ICs as long as it is done out of true love. In my mind it is Satan that doesn't want anyone talking about it.

2)Second myth, I find a lot of websites working to unite the home churches and the IC. We are told to come out of it. Their are several websites that desire to see the IC and home church movement flow as one body, be careful of these websites. To unite to the IC would only give Satan back some of those people he has lost and he would love that. Satan would love nothing better than to see the home churches unit with his one world religion also.

3)Third, God will punish us if we speak against the IC. There are people actually claiming to prophesy against those who speak against the ICs that God will do something bad to us. Why would God do this when we speak truth?

4)Fourth, every home church website out there is from God. False, there are quite a few counterfeit websites and people ministering in error today about the home church. Be careful, keep your eyes open, have ears to hear and read your bible. Do what the bible says and let no man deceive you by any means.

5)Fifth, people who have home church websites know more than me. False, just because someone has set up a website doesn't mean they can not be in error. You have the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you.

6)Sixth, home churchers attack the IC. I don't like it when a person uses the word attack. But is it wrong to attack something wrong? I don't think so. If something is wrong, it is wrong and we are told to expose them. So let's expose, there is nothing wrong with it. Jesus said occupy until I come.

7)Seventh, you have to have a group of people to meet with. I see a lot of one home church families out here. The bible says where two or three are gathered there He is in the midst.

Just some thoughts,

Kim

I agree with your points. I might add that when we point out something we believe is wrong, we should be careful not to personally attack the person; but expose the error. We need to continue to treat everyone as we'd like to be treated even when we see something they are involved in that is unscriptural. Remember we don't know where they are in their walk with the Lord or sometimes if they are even walking with him. It is his job to judge hearts. It is our job to judge fruit and actions and do those things the Lord teaches us to do.

Another myth is that everyone who writes a book on home churching knows what they are talking about too. Remember we are all just learning.
