Hello to all of you who have ventured outside of the institutional church to being the church.. I have been outside the system 1995.. The most recent experience where I experienced tremendous growth, change, deliverance, the cross and learning to walk in the Spirit is when I lived with other believers for 3 years in NJ from 98 till Sept 2000 where we parted ways after two weeks of moving together to California. Since then I have not found a people living together outside of the system.. Since moving to Oregon, I have't even found believers meeting together in homes, so I find myself fellowshiping with the Lord alone. I do have my husband and a new child on the way due the end of March.. My husband shares some of the same values, but doesn't understand much about true community and body life according to the way God intended for His people to be.. He's satisfied with just me and Jesus... It's very difficult being alone under these circumstances, but I will not go back to the system (world) ever again... I pray someday the Lord will lead me to such a people, but until then I will continue to remain faithful in my walk with Him...

Dear Linda, Thank you for sharing some of your journey with the Lord and your desire for fellowship with other saints. Be assured that you are not alone, but that many other saints share thje same frustrations! But, if you keep your eyes on Christ, and do whatever He says to you (John 2:5), you can be assured that you will be right where he wants you! In His own time, He will bring other believers across your path with whom you can share mutual ministry as members in the Body of Christ.

Read your post - can empathize with your situation to some degree (not the pregnant part, LOL, have a dtr who is 29!). My dh is satisfied to simply stay away from the ICs. There is a home ch, within walking distance of our home but they meet in the Sun night and that is just almost out of the question for me. Also, they appear to be functioning as a cell of one of the larger ICs in the area more so than house church. Would still gather with them if they met at a different time, so as you indicated, will continue on my own, tho do at times attend various ICs - just really miss the Body.
Looking fwd to reading your future posts. Know in a few months you will be busy with the new baby. BTW, my granmother was Rosa, her dtr (my mom) Rose, and several cousins and nieces are Rose - wonderful name.
