Hi Dan and Biblette,It is interesting to hear you both speak of how the Lord has guided and convicted you about doing things HIS way rather than man's way! It was not until I was through Bible school and serving as a missionary pastor that the Lord showed me (from the Book of Acts) that His ways were different from (and far superior to!) man's ways. But it was not for another 23 years after leaving the mission board and denomination which we served and ditching the "Reverend title" that the Lord actually lead us to a house church fellowship!
It was then that we finally felt we had "come home" as far as church was concerned!
But then, true relational Christianity is far more than just switching meeting places! It is a whole new way of relating to one another and to the Father. Rather than relating on the basis of gaining acceptance by conformity to religious expectations of men, we need to learn to relate first of all, to the Father in the good of our full acceptance in Christ (which is NOT based on our performance at all) and then learning to relate to other believers in the realization that they too are accepted in the Beloved! (Ephesians 1:3)
