My spiritual journey started about 12 years ago while in the air force. After I became a Christian I began to explore different denominations and so forth. Being that I was raised Roman Catholic I was very accustomed to a church atmosphere. However, I was not a denominationalist and believed that there could be believers in all denominations. I came across a man and he introduced me to a ministry called the Navigators which ministered to service men and woman. So when I went to the first meeting I met some very nice people and what struck me most was the atmosphere. It was really good to fellowship freely and talk and meet people and not be restricted with having to be quiet and listen to one person preach and then leave. I actually had a chance to meet people and talk and have fellowship---real fellowship.
We did however have a formal bible study and pray and sing but that did not consume the whole meeting.I still have friends from this experience that I keep in touch with today. Maybe the institutional church should do the same. Have prayer and bible study and then a time where people can mingle talk, pray and have just good fellowship of course with some good coffee! I think the important thing is that we need each other as iron sharpens iron to grow in the Lord. Call a friend or a couple of friends and spend time in prayer and fellowship and talk in awe of Christ and worship him. This is where home church is interesting is that it is not overly structured.
Anyway God bless you all!

Hi Eric,
It's great to hear from you again! So you live in Warren! Do you ever get across the border into Southern Ontario? We're less than 3 hours away, just east of London.

Also we have a son just south of you across the St Clair river at the University of Windsor!

If you ever do plan to come this direction, be sure to let me know! It would be great to connect and enjoy fellowship together.

Your brother in Christ,
Bruce Woodford
