Greetings in Jesus the Saviour. I am BlackSwan- a username chosen after the famous black swans here in Australia. I am in love with the bible- its Author God – pure and simple.
James 3: 4-5 4. ‘Look, also the ships, being so great, and by fierce winds being driven, are led about by a very small helm, wherever the impulse of the helmsman does counsel. 5. So also the tongue is a little member, and does boast greatly; look, a little fire- how much wood it does kindle!’
Madame Jeanne Guyon influenced Fenelon- on your readers list. Bernard of Clairvaux, Brother Lawrence, Teresa of Avila and others followed a spiritual path. Whoever is interested in these writers or in what some call the ‘Deeper Life’ or ‘Christian Mysticism’ or just plain old ‘Sanctification’ may want to converse with me. I’m not interested in the academic side; and not too much in the historical but I am interested in the purely spiritual. I have in personal experience attained to much of what these writers speak of. I have also seen the Lord Jesus Christ in all his glory. Something of the blazing light and holiness that emanated from him remained in me- like a prophetic seed- and so you see my ‘little member’ boasts great things!
