Greetings in the name of the Lord from southern Brazil! We have been registered as a house church for a while, but we'd like a bit more contact now.
Just a quick history: My "dual citizenship" wife is Brazilian born (American missionary parents) and we met in Brazil many years ago and were married in the US.
I am an American, but have lived and ministered in Brazil for over 30 years (57 now). We worked with a large "Christian organization" (how can organizations be Christian? :) for many years, but are have been "independent" since 1998.
After some very hard lessons, we've been re-learning many precious truths from God's Word and are learning to trust our Lord in doing things HIS WAY.
One big miracle is seeing our mighty God raise up a house church in a very difficult small town, one steeped in religion and the traditions of men. One considered "hardened" and almost impossible to reach for Christ. When we do things God's way however, and follow where and how He leads, there are NO "BARRIERS" or "IMPOSSIBLES".
Since God has given us a very special ministry through video production, as well as the privilege of reaching out to the unreached in Jesus' name, we have some resources to share with others. Our house churches have expanded to two towns, one of which is the afore-mentioned small "impossible-to-reach" town and the other in the small city where we live. Our production team is also functioning as a church and is composed of three couples, and 3 children. We have contact with many other brothers and sisters from local churches and encourage them to share what they have learned from us with these local churches as well.
Please visit our recently posted "overview/trailer" on our English website and read a bit from our bio's: http://www.lightinaction.org and our Portuguese website: http://www.abeprod.com.br (Bible studies online in Portuguese)
Lord bless all that truly love and hold up our Lord's Name and Person
What an encouraging story!!! I hope you keep them coming- stories about what God is doing- especially in starting huse church movements is so encouraging to me!!!
I am part of a house church that has been meeting for about a year and a half. I yearn for God to work in such a way that he starts a house church movement in our community. But like you said- it must be done by His miraculous power and in HIS WAY! Pray for us if you could.

Sarmour, Please allow me to say hello and welcome, as well. I know this may be an odd first question, but have you ever heard of Teen Missions? They usually send a clown team to Brazil every year.

Matthew, is that the group from Virginia? If they're the same (from a large church there), my wife and twin daughters translated for them a couple of years back.

No, they are based out of Merritt Island Florida. You would know them if you saw them, They always wear work boot (even the girls). They also usually wear purple hard hats and pink shirts. At least they have since 1995.

Greetings in The Name of Christ Jesus. It is good to meet you. I have only been on here a few weeks, but I have really found likeminded believers here. We (my wife and I) are now "members" of a house Church and I am attempting to expedite "the IC recovery process" here on RCC. Several of those here have really blessed me ...more than I can say.
I feel pretty far behind a lot of the folks here, and am constantly having my old theology challenged by my own study. How did y`all come to have a home church, and all of the etc. you wish us to know?
