My name is Holly and I've recently been born into the Family Of Our Gracious Lord.

I went to a couple churches, met nice people, but left confused & amazed at the difference in spirit compared to what I read in the Word of God.

I realized through scripture that I am the Temple the Lord dwells in and when I am in the company of other believers, we are having church. The only problem is, I don't have close relations with other believers except seldom times with the ones who say I am rebellious for not having a MEMBERSHIP in a church.

I certainly do not want to be rebellious against the Lord's Commands, that's why I went in the first place, but I soon realized he probably would find me more rebellious being under the teaching that strays a little here & little there from Him. He told us to look straight ahead, neither look to the left nor the right, so I decided it's safer to stay in the Word, and pray for the Lord to unite me with his mighty soldiers, and He led me to this HC Website. I'm very greatful, for I know He is hearing me & He wants me to be WHERE He WANTS me to be and NOT to follow the masses.

So needless to say, I'm spiritually young, lonely, wanting desperately to find my family to lead me into a deeper relationship with the Lord of Glory. I don't want to just sing about Him, talk about Him, read about Him, I desperately want TO KNOW HIM also. I'm praying to find a Home Church in my area of Detroit, Michigan.

I need to learn to Hear from the Lord & to be Led by His spirit. I know we are entering into a time of great deceptions (subtle deceptions) and I need to unite with those spiritually older in the faith & wiser.

I would greatly appreciate e-mails from you who love the Lord. I need to learn & to come to the full knowledge of the Lord Jesus & desire His full measure of His Spirit. Please contact me with helpful info or just fellowship & advice on attacks for not JOINING the membership clubs.

My name is Julie and l am also new to the HC website. I read your introduction and l was touched by your eagerness to seek the Lord in purity and not be misguided by church traditions, doctrinal differences and the like. I have been a Christian since 1992 and in that time have been in two different denominations of church and my husband and l have recently decided that we would prefer to learn and worship God without the restrictions of the routine of the traditional church establishment. A brave and bold step!

If l may be so forward to suggest...? As a new believer it is easy to become disalusioned with other christians. Our expectations are that they will be of the standard found in the Bible. Remember, we are all fallen and live in a world of sin. This does not excuse their contradictory behaviour but does explain it.

Find yourself a few believers, a group, a home church etc, where you can get good Bible teaching and the nourishment a young christian yearns for and can grow upon.
