We checked out a house church a few years ago. Positive experience for the most part. The particular group which we visited does not rotate meeting places, by the way.
Question: might the party who hosts the meeting feel that they have more authority or influence because the meetings are always held there? We think we picked up on this undercurrent.

I could see how such a mentality might develop if unchecked. Sadly, even in house churches, there can exist power games and power plays. One person described it as the "Big Frog in the Little Pond Syndrome."
