I would like to request a list of recommended book (that can be found or
order from a Christian book store) about HC or related subjects. I would reccomend
the study "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby. His background is Southern Baptist
and his approach to church would be that of the TC. Nevertheless, Blackaby's seven
principles are incredibly simple and I think can mesh with the heart of someone
considering HC like myself.

Todd,
Here's a couple that I'd recommend:
-Wolfgang Simson's "Houses that Change the World"
-Robert Fitts' "The Church in the House - a return to simplicity". This one can be downloaded from the author's web site http://www.robertfitts.com/simple_church.htm

There are loads of others and other folks will no doubt recommend ones they have enjoyed.

By the way, I too would strongly recommend henry Blackaby's "Experiencing God, Knowing and Doing the Will of God"! We have been through his series (a video and group discussion study) about 5 times now with different small groups and have learned much every single time!

For the interest of others who have not seen it yet, I'll just list the 7 principles which are the "bones" of this excellent study:

Seven Realities of Experiencing God:
1.God is always at work around you.
2.God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
3.God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
4.God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes and His ways.
5.God's invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
6.You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
7.You come to know God by experience as you obey Him and He accomplishes His work through you.

Hope this whets somebody's appetite to get a small group together to do this tremendous study!

Thanks todd!
