Steve Gregg, the teacher on thenarrowpath.com that you just referenced, is my favorite Bible teacher! He is actually a good resource for everyone. Check out his verse by verse teaching, he has Genesis through Revelation, and he also has a Bible Forum where you can post questions, etc.. and you can also call his radio program and ask questions. Anyways, I had to give him a plug in because he is a very gifted and humble Bible teacher.
Also, I have gone through his acquiring a spouse teaching, and have also tried betrothal and found I did not understand completely what betrothal was. I realized I did not know the person well enough to be betrothed. I called Steve's radio program and asked about this misunderstanding from his teaching, and I believe his answer was much more comprehensive. We have 3 more daughters, ourselves, to escourt to the "alter" if God wills (and if they don't elope).
