I heard it said today, by Dr. JV McGee, that it takes about 2 years to learn to talk and about 50 years to learn to be silent. He also mentioned the surprize of some upon hearing of an ass speaking in the Biblical account when such is so, so common today... :-)
May the LORD help us to beat these numbers and to act our age and to learn some good old-fashioned self control. I must blush, myself, as I would be a little embarrassed by a recording of my own words over the last weeks or months - even days.
