I am new to this board but the dialog I have seen has been interesting. I did see one subject I would like to address and that is the idea of being called to the "ministry." I think we are all aware of the IC method of sending a man with a call on his life to seminary and after completion he gets sent to fullfill his ministry to Gods people. The scriptures are plain to me that after the new birth we are all qualified to minister new life to those in need around us. Just as a beggar shares with another beggar where to find bread. There is another aspect of ministry in the Lords House which requires much preparation. The Lord has said many are called but few are chosen and sent. The true sending out in this case almost alway involves much preparation, stripping time spent in His wilderness of an obstacle course divinely set up for each saint to enable us in the end to bring forth His will on the earth. I have a hunch that the Father would desire that we would all grow up to the place of fulness in Him but for whatver reason each in His own way we leave the ancient path before His full work is done in us. In this late hour there are many who claim to have a vision of Gods House and are actively set about putting their hand to the work that we all know is so desperately needed. So that we all may pause before such an awesome and Holy endeavor there is some scripture in Zech. 2 that may apply. We find a man set out to measure the temple in Jerusalem. Now at all the other places in scripture we find the Lord initiating the measurement of His temple by telling His servants to measure what He has shown him, we don't see that here but we do see God in his mercy and grace tellng the angel to run to the man and give him further instruction that the city must be without walls. Are we in that hour when that ambitious brother is working among Gods House not waiting to be properly sent out. We know this to be a true saying, that unless the Lord builds the House they labor in vain. Just because we may have much vision and light on how the House operates we still need to wait upon the Master to send us in His way and in His timing. That indeed is the hardest thing to learn while the need is so great and the time is so dark and however great our revelation we must wait until we be sent by the Lord of the Sabbath. I do believe that even now the Lord is preparing a people for His purpose and His Glory to show the House to the House that they may see their iniquities and thereby be ashamed and repent Ezk.43:10. Let us therefore purpose in our hearts to wait upon the One who is in the business of setting lively stones together as His House that all of the principalities and powers may once again gape in awe of the splendor and majesty of His people under His headship doing mighty exploits and deeds seeing the restitution of all things happening right before their very eyes. Acts 3:21
