I'm curious if anyone has anything to say about the role of a Pastor in the House Church. Are they essential?

Pastor and Elder are interchangeable in the Greek. They both mean shepherd or overseer. There should never be only 1 shepherd. It is only by unity that leadership of any quality can happen. You probably wont find that when just 1 person is calling the shots.

hi , we (my family and some friends ) hold home church . We take turns teaching . We are led by the Holy Ghost as to who is chosen for duties such as to baptize and etc. Some of us have gotton ordained by man so we can legally perform marriages and etc. within our group . being a preacher/teacher/minister is not to be an ego trip for we are all these things at one time or another in our lives with messiah. acts10
