It's Christmas day. I'm sitting here wondering where 2005 went, having little to show for it on several major fronts. But, praise his name - He lent me another year to occupy his earth and to be a part of his church. Truly, life is good!
Of interest to me is the fact that Jesus asked us to remember his death, not his birth. Where are the multitudes who desire to clebrate his death?
Of course, with no birth there could have been no death.
"As often as ye eat and drink of this cup and this bread, do so in remembrance of me." Paraphrased.
Many can tolerate a baby Jesus in a manger. How many will bow before and adore him on his throne as the mighty King of Kings and Lord of Lords?
Regardless of what you believe about this day of the year, let's invite him again into our lives and our homes. Let's dedicate the coming year to him and unto his service.
