Dan,
Thanks for the reply. I want to brag a little about my little white
chevy with black trim. It is when I started noticing the little things
that her beauty really shined thru.
I first noticed my car was possessed when I would stop at a
convenience store and conversate with the locals and be in a big rush
and then run out to start ole faithful. Lo and behold when I was in a
rush she wouldn't start.
One time she even stranded my wife and I a whole hour on a sunday
until we started reading the paper and having good conversation. When
we were relaxed and enjoying the moment I went out and started her right
up!
The whole mystery was that my mechanic could never find anything
wrong with her. This in and of itself was puzzling but I chalked it up
to another temperamental chevy. Then one day I was really out of
balance and off on a tangent and she died on me coasting to a stop,
found out the flywheel sheared off around the bolts holding it on. She
again showed me in language I could understand, it only was a 200.00
lesson.
Now the celebrity had my undivided attention, I have always been an
habitual speeder, not bad in the worlds eyes just my modest 10 over and
coincidently I started paying close attention while I was driving just
like in drivers ed.
The chevy always had one of those crazy service engine lights that
appeared to come on at random, I started playing around and everytime I
went below the speed limit the damn thing would go out! Was it true my
very own radar detector.
One day due to no fault of mine the kids were late for school, well I
got her going a little fast and no light I thought great I have passed
the test of the school master but just about then the light came on, so
I went legal again and then I saw the cop. I could go on about her
abilities as a directional signal too but that would take too long.
One last amusing thing about her is the radio, I always thought it
was a hunk of junk that rarely tuned into what I wanted to listen to but
boy was I ever wrong! I used to strike the dash when I needed to fine
tune my deluxe seek and scan radio. I then used the seek feature for my
listening pleasure and every time I was not disappointed, what a Jem.
My daughter runs the radio when we ride together and I told her about
this and she laughed until she tried to take it off a station that was
playing for me.
What I took all this time to say Dan G. was that take time to pay
attention to that chinese stuff and maybe you will uncover the kwality
you are looking for. Your brother, tom.
