Hi Glenn and welcome to hc-tallk!

You are facing a very common dilemna of folks who know that God is leading
them in a direction which is opposite/contrary to the direction of many
other brothers and sisters in Christ with whom one has ministered and
labored in the past.

We have faced this same dilemna in a number of situations. We have also
watched others deal with similar issues and leave gatherings of which we
have been a part.

Personally, I feel it is best to clearly express to those with whom one has
worked/been associated the reasons for one's change. In that way, no one
need wonder even if they disagree with those reasons.

But when one or a family which have been leaders and very involved just
"quietly leave" without any explanation, you have no idea of the unanswered
questions, the hurts and the unresolved uncertainties that are left in the
hearts of minds of those who had been close co-workers.

Make sure you know what the Lord wants you to do and seek to do it
gracefully.

But could I make a suggestion? Before you make your final decision and
leave to start a house church, would you read the "book in progress" titled:
"So You Don't Want To Go To Church Anymore" which is found at
www.jakecolsen.com ?

You will find much in those pages to encourage, challenge, and provoke
careful thought about this whole business of what it is to be a member in
the Body of Christ and a child of God learning to enjoy Father!

Stop by here often and share what you're learning and how the Lord is
leading you!

Your brother in Christ,
