Consider for a moment that the "church" would send out women into foreign
countries to perform missions.  Then, once a church was established, they
were banished from speaking???  Go figure.................

Your point is well taken. Having been in the Plymouth Brethren Assembly's
for a number of years, about three as an Elder, I was
never comfortable with the concept of women having to remain silent during
certain portions of the gathering (communion and
worship), yet permitted to speak during the bible discussion and fellowship
times. It just never made sense.
