I know I might get ragged on for saying this, but it is exactly this
attitude why I refuse to get health insurance for my family of seven.
When we begin to look to hospitals and doctors as our source of strength
and health, something is wrong. We should be looking to Jesus for
everything. Jesus is our Creator. He made our bodies and he can fix
them. I have nothing against a doctor helping the body if he is able,
but I have a whole lot against those who trust in doctors and hospitals
as if they are the only source of health for us. I'm 43 and I do not go
to the doctors for anything, not even to deliver my children. I'm not
bragging about this, just trying to encourage some of you to believe
that God can be trusted for health and healing. My daughter Jennifer
woke up Sunday morning with a fever and a runny nose. I laid hands upon
her and rebuked the fever and believed for her to be healed. That
afternoon, she was out playing and perfectly well. I could give scores
of stories like that.

In contrast, those who trust in doctors and hospitals always run into
problems. I have extended family members who are doctors and nurses and
who run to the doctor whenever they are sick. They always have more
problems than my family, yet they continue to criticize me for not
having health insurance and for not going to doctors. My mom was
diagnosed with cancer. She called me and I told her not to let them cut
her without doing one more test. We prayed in faith and she demanded
another x-ray before her scheduled surgery. They did not understand.
They asked if she wanted a second opinion. She said no, I believe the
Lord has healed me so I want you to check. They said it was impossible,
that these tumors do not just disappear in a week's time. She was
stubborn so they started the x-rays, and they looked and looked and
could not find anything. Glory to God, that was many years ago and my
mom is still well.

My dad was diagnosed with leukemia and was given 4 to 6 weeks to live.
A friend of mine and I prayed for a specific Tuesday for the doctors not
to find any cancer when they did the biopsy. The doctors were shocked.
No cancer could be found that day. My dad was thrilled and gave glory
to God. However, months later the doctors called him wondering where he
had been. They wanted to do chemo-therapy "just in case" to make sure
the cancer did not come back. I urged my dad not to do it, but he
trusted the doctors. I asked him to persuade the doctors to take a more
conservative approach, but he submitted unto them and took the
chemo-therapy. Ten days later he was dead from a heart attack induced
by the chemo-therapy. This happened just last March. Like King Asa in
the Bible, he trusted in the physicians and so he died (2 Chronicles
16:12).

Brothers and sisters in Christ, we can trust in the Lord for healing.
We do not need doctors or hospitals. I'm not saying that it is wrong
for a doctor to help you. Like taking your car to a mechanic, if the
doctor can help, fine. But much about the body is beyond the knowledge
and ability of doctors. You are not without hope when the doctors
cannot help. Trust Jesus. Turn to God in faith and watch him heal you.
Prove God this day.

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, HAVE FAITH IN GOD. For verily I
say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his
heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, WHAT
THINGS SOEVER YE DESIRE, WHEN YE PRAY, BELIEVE THAT YE RECEIVE THEM, AND
YE SHALL HAVE THEM. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have
ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive
you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father
which is in heaven forgive your trespasses." (Mark 11:22-26 KJV)

In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke the unclean spirit that has
wrecked Jennifer's body. I speak healing to her body in the name of
Jesus. Now go down to that hospital and declare her well in the name of
Jesus. Read this passage out loud that I just quoted above and believe
it. Tell her to stand up in the name of Jesus. Come back and give us a
good report.

"... if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to
him that believeth." (Mark 9:22-23 KJV)

Peace be with you.
