House Church Talk - House church or simply church wherever people are

Dan,
Let me say that I agree with you and understand your thoughts on how pastors
have become ceo's and often the center of what people see as the church
today.
In our response to these facts, I have often observed that we express our
views in ways that can easily be misunderstood. For example, I once asked
the church here how do we collectively find the mind of God for His church.
One answer was, "First, get rid of the pastor."
The brother saying this could not have been referring to our local
situation, for we have never had the single pastor system in our HC. I
suspect he was thinking about churches in general, who have ceo type
pastors. This kind of cliche' can lead to much confusion IMO.
How we communicate what we see and understand is important, especially if we
hope to enlighten others to what we see. Do you agree?
Dan
