Frank Daniels, realizing that the Lord Jesus came to abolish all religion  ( 
i.e. "return to bondage"!) has done the Non-Ecclesiastical New Testament.  
In it, all ecclesiastical terms, terms that have communicated the  ideas of 
"officialdom" etc have been translated literally.   "Deacon" is simply 
"servant". "Bishop" is "overseer", "elder" is "the elderly" or "older ones" 
and "church" is "assembly" etc.
