J.H. Thornwell wrote more than a century ago:
"If the church could be aroused to a deeper sense of the glory that awaits her, she would enter with a warmer spirit into the struggles that are before her. Hope would inspire ardour. She would even now arise from the dust, and like the eagle plume her pinions for loftier flights than she has yet taken. What she wants, and what every individual Christian wants, is faith — faith in her sublime vocation, in her Divine resources, in the presence and efficacy of the Spirit that dwells in her — faith in the truth, faith in Jesus, and faith in God. With such a faith there would be no need to speculate about the future. That would speedily reveal itself."

Ohhh, I wish there was an army of people like the one you quoted, in every city, town, and village. Highly motivated people who have this promised positive victory perspective.
So confident in the victorious Kingdom was Paul that he concluded his letter to the Romans like this: The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Romans 16:20. He surely chose his words with great carefulness. True?
How can we get this message out when there is a crushing defeatist mentality almost everywhere we look?
Let's pray and work for such a great revival that the traditional churches nor house churches will be able to contain it... Church will be everywhere!
Brother, please keep the drum-beat up concerning this urgent theme! As you have been. The Kingdoms of this world shall certainly become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ. Amen.

David, we must certainly encourage one another more and more as the Day approaches! Thank you brother for sharing the wonderful book by Iain H. Murray. Here is another quote from it that I love:
"John Wesley wrote in 1742: 'I was surprised, so much drunkenness, cursing and swearing (even from the mouths of little children) do I never remember to have seen and heard before in so small a compass of time. Surely this place is ripe for Him Who 'came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.'"

Yes my brother, Wesley had a clear vision of the future indeed. He successfully used home-based "class meetings" to advance this scriptural theme of ministering to the saints and winning the lost. He did not give up or surrender because the culture was too bad.
In America today, the new drunkenness is the opioid epidemic... But where sin abounds, grace can super-abound.
Praise His mighty name!
