Jesus 'began' his ministry? Luke 3:23
The modern versions of Scripture, sadly, are not always accurate even though their translators might disagree. Concerning the passage in Luke about Jesus entering ministry at age thirty, you can see the wide range of translations. Many versions do not add the word ministry.
What is the point? The point is that ministry is the obligation of every believer. And a privilege, too. As it is more blessed to give than to receive.
The matter is so serious that Jesus Christ will one day declare to many: I had problems but you did NOT minister unto Me. Actually, the problems belonged to the least of these my brethren. So, you didn't just fail them - you failed Me.
