'Sacrament' replaced table fellowship, real food, and dignity

I remember reading this same interesting passage long ago. And being arrested by it. Please, please consider these important words.

People still need to be fed. And their hunger addressed. Reconciliation - social and racial - still needs to occur among our diverse populations. And people still need the dignity of belonging to something - having a place at the table.

What is going on today under the guise of a 'sacrament' was not God's original plan. Not even close.
