Input on House Church
Hello! My name is Rob Pineda, and I live in Deltona, Florida. My family and I are going in the house church direction, and was wondering how others feel about starting out with just your own family? Is that not a good idea? Is it just fine? Just looking for some opinions, and input. Thank you so much!

This is Carol, Steve's wife. We agree that starting with your own family is great. Your children will learn what house church is all about and to participate. Also, it is easier to bring other families in when they see first hand the role children play in the house church.
We know a family who considered a number of years ago pulling back from their local assembly, but decided against it because of their children's need for fellowship. Now that their children are older, they have some regrets because they see how tied their children are to the institution.
Pray about it and proceed as Jesus leads. -

Rob, it is a joy to know that your kids are participating in the worship in your home. Small beginnings are God's specialty! I will pray for you all today in anticipation to His blessing your service and devotion to Him.

I think that's a great idea and will pray about doing that myself with our family.

This is what my household - myself, my husband, my preschool aged kids, and my parents - have been doing for a year now. We had planned to invite others but Covid has made our already skittish neighbors even less likely to be willing to connect. So, we soldier on, just us 6!

We also live in Deltona. Are you still doing house church with your family?
