About the House Church Network

Jesus came and said to them: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20

Hey friend, it's good that you are here today. Thank you for stopping by.

Ours is truly an unprecedented time. A time when every means to spread the Good News about Jesus the Christ must be employed. Every legitimate form of communication and of church structure must be utilized in the time which remain.

The battle for the heart, mind, and soul of every person (and institution) on earth is truly underway. As surely as Kingdom victory has been promised - so participation by all is required.

The concept of house church is not a new idea. It goes by several names. In many localities it has worked quite well. House churches are scriptural and have true advantages. But they are arguably not the only model seen in the Scriptures or earliest church history. It is also arguable that they are often the best and most efficient form of church.

Here, we are prayerfully seeking to create an atmosphere of encouragement and optimism regarding the Kingdom. In the spirit of the two ancient spies who returned from the promised land and declared against all odds: This land is God's and it can become ours, according to his promise and command. Numbers 13,14. Today, the world still belongs to the Creator and we still desire to bring every person and every thought into captivity to Him.

Thankfully, the majority of Christians, even those in traditional churches, are open to alternative church structures. Our goal therefore is to lift up Christ in every possible context and neither become preoccupied with the institutional church nor with those who participate in it.

In reality there is but one true church. We are in it or out of it. All those in the true Church are entitled to the love and respect of all the others.

It is true that there are many wrongs in the church today. There always have been. And yes, we should examine all things, abandon false practices, and hold closely to that which is true.

It is our desire that this site will become a place where scriptural, non-traditional church methods and structures can be encouraged, discussed, and lived out. Hopefully, many new churches will come into existence as God blesses, knowledge increases. And illegitimate traditions and Christ-less churches are left behind.

Finally, please notice that the House Church Network exercises no authority and no control over any of the groups or individual listed on this site. All are welcome to participate, to question, to inform, and to encourage others. For fairness sake, please limit new postings to about once a day. And please refrain from using hierarchical titles.

As for the site content here, it does not necessarily represent an endorsement of the author nor their other writings nor their personal lives. Let us prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.

Please notice that the Discussions are to be limited to issues pertaining to the category of non-traditional house churches. There are thousands of excellent Christian forums elsewhere across the internet where general Christian topics are discussed. Also, please notice that there is a category in the discussion forum where you can tell otter's about your own ministry.

Also notice that our site is committed to the inerrancy of the inspired Scriptures in their original forms.

Brothers and sisters, the hour is late. Let us not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good. Let's pray for a revival so great that the present day structures cannot contain it.
