So well said, my brother. And typical of your pen and your heart for the truth and for the lost. Thank you for sharing this wonderful message.
Me, I have no private interpretations of the Scriptures and would be afraid if I did. Haha. But I do learn new things now and then and am eager to learn more. More to share with others.
Sometimes I wonder if the Great Commission was not about the water baptism of the nations but about their intended and future transformation. Jesus occasionally used the word baptize to demonstrate a great change, not associated with water baptism at all. For example:
Are you able to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? Mark 10:38.
What if He had a cataclysmic change in mind for his world - a true baptism of the Holy Spirit? One in which the descendants of Abraham would join arms and kneel together at His cross.
And a Church in which all rituals had eventually served their purpose... Symbolized by a curtain torn asunder and a Temple, not one stone left upon another.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love... For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. Galatians 6.
The kingdoms of the world have become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever” Revelation 11:15.
Behold, I am making all things new! Revelation 21:5
